What is this product?
20 minutes of bliss that moisturises the skin and mind with the blessings of Ryukyu
A cosmetic emulsion (light moisturising cream) sheet mask that moisturises dry skin, especially for those with ageing skin and skin stress. The Ruhaku Gettou sheet mask is infused with a cream emulsion, dry and hardened skin is softened and moisturized. This sheet mask is ideal to incorporate into your weekend reward skin care to reset fatigued skin. The sheet mask material itself is made from 100% unbleached organic cotton, and is thick, fluffy and incredibly soft on the skin. Ruhaku’s moisturising emulsion contains 100% naturally derived ingredients from Okinawa’s nature such as shell ginger, sea grapes, and noni. It is also the first Japanese sheet mask to obtain Cosmos Ecocert certification.
What did I think?
The Ruhaku sheet mask really is like having a facial treatment at home! The sensorial pleasure of the mask makes it a step above the usual sheet masks, and the moisturising and softening results on the skin are unmistakable. The incredibly soft organic cotton sheet mask feels luxurious and so gentle on delicate facial skin. This is something that luxury and boutique Japanese skincare brands do so well! The Japanese cotton softness makes all the difference- it makes this mask feel like a real treat. The creamy emulsion too, makes a point of difference, it feels thick enough to really hydrate the skin but not at all runny and messy. Finally, the heavenly scent! I love the smell of the organic botanicals used in the Ruhaku products, in particular the rosemary. There are not synthetic fragrances, just the gorgeous blend essential oils and extracts. Pure heaven!
After wearing for the full 20 minutes, the sheet mask was not dry and was still soothing on the skin. It is recommended to apply cream after the mask, however my skin felt amazing and I was so relaxed I went straight to sleep when I removed the sheet mask. When I woke in the morning my skin was still incredibly hydrated, plump and soft. So if you live in a warm climate, or it is summer I don’t think you necessarily need to apply cream after the mask, it depends on your needs. I will be definitely using these masks over the colder months and will add cream when needed.
How to use
- Wash your face and spread the mask over your skin.
- Keep the mask on for around 20mins.
- Remove the mask and massage your face while the skin is wet with the beauty emulsion.
- Do not rinse. Moisturiser is recommended.
